Securikey Safes Shine at the MLA Expo 2015

Securikey, a leading UK supplier of physical security products, had its busiest exhibition to date at the Master Locksmiths Association (MLA) Expo 2015, held at The International Centre, Telford from 2nd – 4th October.

Exhibition participants flocked to the stand to see Securikey’s previously advertised ‘mystery product’, which was revealed to be a bespoke hand-crafted Coulson luxury safe featuring stunning Zircote Vaneer finishing, beautifully soft Alcantara-lined drawers and a bolt handle that has been meticulously designed around a clock face and hands. Visitors also had the opportunity to enter a competition to guess the number of man hours it took to convert the safe, so congratulations to Ian Underwood of A&D Lock & Key Co. in Birmingham who correctly guessed the time of 113 hours and walked away with his very own Apple Watch.

In addition, Securikey ran a special promotion that was only available for the duration of the show, allowing visitors that were purchasing one or more Mini Vaults to automatically upgrade each safe from a key lock to an electronic lock free of charge.

Michael Joel, Account Manager for Securikey, affirmed, “We had a very successful, exceptionally busy few days at the MLA Expo 2015, with visitors inquiring after and ordering a broad range of products from our comprehensive range. As usual the Mini Vault safes were incredibly popular, however many other products received a lot of attention as well, particularly the latest Keylex digital door lock models, post boxes, T-REIGN retractors and cases, our enhanced key cabinets and the Secure Stor security cabinet range, which was on display for the very first time.”

He added, “The MLA Expo provides us with a fantastic opportunity to meet with a large number of industry professionals in a short space of time. This allows us to answer their questions face to face, share our expertise and listen to their comments, helping us to learn what we are doing well and providing valuable feedback which we can then use in the development of future Securikey products.”
