We have taken steps to get the Turnbull cabinets tested to SS302 at Sold Secure to ensure that our cabinets comply with the proposed changes to the testing and certification of the storage of guns.
The existing standard of BS7558 is a built to set of guidelines but products remain untested and certified . Changes to SS302 to incorporate the BS7558 construction ( SS302 Bronze ) will allow firearms inspectors to specify a 3rd party tested and certified cabinet with the new Bronze , Silver and Gold test levels offering a choice of protection depending upon contents and situation .
The Turnbull cabinets in their existing construction ( First launched Approx 2012 ) have achieved a sliver standard and are now listed alongside all of our graded safes tested to EN1143 and EN14450 on the SECURED BY DESIGN website .
